Woven Art Piece

$37.00

I loved creating this little woven art piece. The main color of yarn of this piece was a combination of premade yarns that I plied together. This means that I placed different yarns that from my fiber collection onto three different bobbins. I then plied these together to make a new yarn. I used the pink, yellow and blue/white combo yarns. It creates this interesting combination of colors. I then played around with the colors in stripes.

I designed a hanger for my weavings. I designed this in Adobe Illustrator. I was then able to take this to the laser cutter that we have at the college that I work at. I wanted to have something that I could tie up my fibers to. I designed this to have this option.

I sanded down the wood and then covered it with Howard’s Feed and Wax. It is ready to hand with a simple nail.
