Supplies for “Beginner Project on a DIY Loom” class.

Are you in either my Weaving or Spinning/Tapestry club and want to know what tools I like to use? These are for my classes that are found in my Clubs. Find information here: https://www.weftandwillow.com/shop/classes

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I have also included local businesses in the Chico area.

1.Solid Cardboard: I recommend recycled hard cardboard. It should be at least 9” x 12”.

2. Regular Scissors (Not for fabric!)

3. Pencil - You only need a regular pencil. Staedtler are my favorite pencils though. This is a great kit if you are wanting to build your drawing skills. Ellis Art Supply is a local Chico supplier of these supplies.

4. Ruler: Any will do. To get one like the one in the video, find it here.

5. Chopsticks: Just get some food that requires these or buy a needle.

6. Tape: Use what you have. I used Blue 3M tape and it held great.

7. Warping Yarn: Use what you have. If it breaks during the test, don’t use it. Local: Yarn Basket 530) 345-2187 and Heartstrings.

7. Weft Yarn: Once again, use what you have. Explore thrift stores. For new yarn: Yarn Basket 530) 345-2187 and Heartstrings. Below are some fun finds.
