Weft and Willow on Park Avenue is closing.

I am officially sharing the news that I will be closing my studio that is on Park Avenue in Chico. It has been a wonderful three years in this space. Thank you Ronda and Bruce for being such wonderful landlords.

Why am I closing? Well...Stuart and I purchased our first home together! We are going to build our own studio on our property!! I still can't believe this.

We were ready to get started with our building plans...but then Stuart got into a bike accident and broke his collarbone and fractured his elbow. He has been in a lot of pain and i have been helping him with his recovery.

This means that it changes some things drastically. Originally, I was going to have a closing party and sale this weekend. I changed this to June 7th to allow for me to be able to gather and organize for the sale.

Items to be sold are a Glimakra Standard loom, incredible APQS laser point Long Arm Quilting Machine, weaving/spinning supplies, yarn/fabric and more! You will also find Artwork that is recent and older pieces that are wonderfully priced at a bargain for original works.

Any purchase of artwork, tools and supplies will go towards building the new space. Because of Stuart's accident, this will just take longer than expected. We will use a storage space in the meantime.

Come on June 7th and please bring anything that you created because of the space. Did you make anything from the fabric that I sold? Did you learn a new skill? I would love to celebrate with you!

If you have a custom order with me then that means you will receive your work before the end of June.

APQS Liberty Long Arm

This is a wonderful machine and it is wonderful quilting. My space will be smaller and I won’t be able to keep it. I can teach you how to use it. I have been using it to quilt quilts for other folks. It uses a laser light and you walk it across the back of the table. This machine comes with numerous paper patterns that were used for a former Quilter’s business. this is a solid and beautiful stitch. It has a great stitch regulator and a tool that rolls the quilt back and forth.
